The NUS Graduate Residences comprises accommodation for over 1600 single graduates in 4 - bedroom apartments and over 100 married student apartments
A main ‘Public Plaza’ orientated east – west directly addresses the Town Green and the main pedestrian circulation of the campus, which is integrated within the building as part of its colonnaded edge. On each side of the plaza facing North – South are two 25 Storey Towers which step down to 17 – storeys on the return which house the single graduate residence apartments. Two landscaped residential court yards are formed, enclosed on each side by low 8-storey blocks accommodating the married student apartments. First storey circulation and primary way finding is organised by the Public Plaza and the Residential Courtyards themselves and their relationship to both primary and secondary pedestrian colonnades that link to primary lift cores. The Public Plaza and its colonnaded edge directly link those arriving by vehicle at 2nd storey level in response to the stepped level of the site to this symbiotic pedestrian and landscape network.
