Robinson Point

Singapore
2006-2013

The Robinson Road project consists of two retail spaces at 1st Storey level below a podium carpark of 5-Storeys.  The remaining 15-Storeys form a column‑free rental space with a typical central core.

The constraints of the site led to a design with a central core, providing an outer column‑free zone to maximise tenancy flexibility. The core was designed to be as economical as possible to maximise nett lettable area while providing an appropriately sized lift lobby.

The tower design (from the 6th to the 21st-Storey) utilises a symmetrical perimeter plan with all four elevations consisting of central curtain walling strips of double glazed, low emissivity glass to reduce direct solar heat gain. The silicon sealant on the horizontal joints, and stainless steel channels on the vertical joints, emphasise the verticality of the central façade.
